Our History
York Accounting Services was officially started in 2001, based in Gauteng in the Johannesburg precinct!
Initially we offered professional bookkeeping services to small entities and persons requiring their financial affairs processed in good order. This was soon followed by providing the expansion of the Pastel range of software to clients because of the further ease of use written into it by Pastel's R&D division.
We carry extensive product knowledge, and more than 28 years of experience in a wide variety of businesses, from commercial, retail and service through to industrial and manufacturing - with specific emphasis in Inventory and Stock. We can expertly assist and guide you creating the most suitable database for the continuity of your business, in respect of account layout, coding and reporting and hands on training!
From being a sole proprietor, York Accounting Services has subsequently been registered as a close corporation and registered for VAT. We have gradually built up an extremely select range of clients in providing them with professional service and support and have successfully done Pastel implementation and setup in Moçambique for companies - in their specific format and the Portuguese language.
We are now intent on greater service to the small and micro business area of South Africa, with the advent of the recent Pastel Invoicing and Pastel My Business and Pastel MicrOpay software, specifically written with the limitations and capacity restrictions that individuals and micro entrepreneurs experience in mind.
